BREATHING BOULDERS, SPEAKING SILENCE
Working with monumental rock sculptor and landscape designer Chris Calverley, this exhibition is a celebration of Chris’s art form and the city that has created and nurtured it.
Over the last 20 years, Chris has built up a body of work around the city to the extent that it has helped shape the look and feel of the city.

AFRICA
Photography and travel are the two loves of Master photographers Philip Kuruvita and Alice Bennett. Two very different photographers on two very different vourneys through this vast and complext land. The resulting exhibition and book bring together the work of these two photographers and while their images are very different, they combine well to make a fascinating investigation. Alice photographed the people, while Philip concentrated on the landscape, and of course, they both photographed the wildlife.

FACES of LAUNCESTON 2006
Every city has its heros, villians and characters, and Launceston is no different. Following on from the success of the Faces of Launceston exhibition that he had done in 1995-97, Philip Kuruvita has added another 100 people to the list of Faces of Launceston. Timed to coincide with the 200 years of the City of Launceston celebrations, this exhibition allows us a glimpse into the inner workings of the city through it’s people.
