PHILIP KURUVITA FAIPP, M.Photog IV , FNZIPP
Philip has over 20 years experience in the photographic industry. He has won countless awards both here in Australia and overseas for his photography. Philip is a Fellow and Master of Photography with 4 gold bars with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP ), and a fellow of the NZIPP. He has just completed an 8 year term on the National Board of the AIPP, serving as both National President and Chairman of the Board.
His quietly confident nature, playful sense of humour and genuine love of connecting with people endear him to all he meets. His intense passion for photography is the driving force that keeps him involved at the highest levels of the industry.
Philip spends his rare time off indulging his second passion of fishing - and there’s no better place than Tassie for that!
VICKI KURUVITA B.Arch (Hons)
Arriving in Launceston as one of the site architects for the redevelopment of the Launceston General Hospital, Vicki was a hospital specialist who travelled the country on multi-million dollar projects, and eventually decided to stop in Launceston.
In between bringing up two beautiful daughters, she has worked with Philip to create the premier studio in northern Tasmania.
Vicki has turned all her organisational and management skills onto the studio and as studio manager runs the studio with expertise and efficiency. Her design skills are obvious in the wedding albums, literature and display work that the studio produces. This year, her achievements and service to the industry were recoginsed when the AIPP awarded her the Claude McCarthy Award.
Highly organised and paying meticulous attention to detail, Vicki is the perfect foil to that somewhat erratic “artist” personality that Philip brings to the partnership!
Between the two of them everything is undertaken and completed with passion, dedication and integrity.
