Investigate the various aspects of portrait photography. Learn how to make great people pictures that are more than just a record of a persons face.

We start off in the studio with a short discussion on portrait theory, and look at some of the different styles of portraiture that have been used. We will discuss lens choice and look at the way different camera settings can effect the outcome of your photography. We will talk a bit about how we use light to bring out or hide facial features and how we can use our cameras to enhance or exaggerate our subjects features.

We will then look at various indoor techniques using both available light and artificial light. After lunch, we will head outdoors to make some portraits and will look at how to handle various lighting conditions, and how to make a strong portrait regardless of the weather.
