Behind the Garage Door

$49.95
sold out

The Launceston region of Northern Tasmania has had a long and fruitful history with all things automotive. Some of the earliest carriage builders worked here, and via the Grand Prix races at Longford in the 1950’s and 60’s, and the global success of Targa Tasmania the interest in all things cars has never wained.
For years I have known that there was an interesting car book lurking in the garages around Launceston, this book is the result of a year long project to talk to the owners and to photograph their machines. So regardless of whether the reader has a vague interest in cars or is a complete fanatic, this book will take them on an enjoyable journey to find out a little of the history of these cars and the stories of how they ended up behind a garage door in Launceston.
With cars spanning the years 1916 - 2016, there is something for everyone. Stunning photographs that show off the cars and our beautiful city, the book takes the reader to meet some very passionate people and the cars that fuel that passion.

Book Details:

This book is hardcover, 240pgs, full colour, 260 mm x 210 mm landscape format.
