Korea
We visited South Korea in 2025 and while in the markets in Busan I bought a traditional kitchen knife. Wickedly sharp, this style of knife was used by all the vendors at the food markets, and I am sure that most home kitchens would have one too. As with any of my travels, photography is the main reason for travel, closely followed by the local, food, and therefore knives. Korea was unique in my experience because it very quickly became apparent that I was going to end up a bitter and twisted man if I had to wait until everyone had done taking selfies before I could photograph the sights. In the end the solution was to do a series of images of people taking selfies in front of South Korea rather than just images of that country as I has originally planned. It was a great decision and I had great fun with an inextinguishable supply of subject matter
