Norway

We have recently been to Norway and while I was there I bought a knife!  ( No surprises there) While there were endless opportunity to buy knives made by Helle, and other large factory producers, at very reasonable prices, I was on the lookout for something a bit more niche and hand made. I eventually found some in Bergen and bought one by Trond Nerli . The interesting thing to me was the fact that while Trond made the knife, the blade was made by a blade smith Asbjørn Solheim .

I have since been in contact with Asbørn and bought a blade from him which I am looking forward to building a knife with using Tasmanian timbers. In the mean time, I decided to do some practice builds and this was my first attempt.

Because Im a photographer and the main reason for travelling to Norway was to make pictures not knives, I thought I would add some of them too. Hope you like them
